Talk a little bit about your background with fitness and athletics.
I was a dancer for 14 years and took an interest in the exercise world when realizing I couldn't make dance a career because of some major physical injuries. It was difficult to let go of, but I knew there had to be a career out there for me that related to dance and the athletics I was interested in. I was very much into health and fitness which is how I came to study Kinesiology for my undergraduate degree. Kinesiology in simpler terms is the study of exercise and movement in relation to the body. I have spent my entire college career working with various clients doing every aspect related to exercise and fitness. Since I was studying Kinesiology I was forced to try new sports and activities that I had never been able to participate in because of dance. It was very challenging but at the same time really fun being exposed to a variety of sports. I have great respect for all types of athletes and non athletes alike and understand that each sport or activity requires very different regimens. After high school I got into swimming and became a certified swim instructor and lifeguard which has been a huge part of my life all throughout college. I love being around the pool and teaching children and adults how to swim.

What would you say is your area of expertise?
My expertise is exercise prescription, in lay terms means analyzing, observing and testing each client in order to create a program that is so individualized, results are seen in a timely manner and the client's goals are achieved. This includes exercise programming as well as nutrition counseling to incorporate a holistic diet into the regimen.

What do you enjoy most about personal training?
I love personal training because in my opinion it is relationship based and purely goal oriented. I feel that my client's goals are my personal goals as well and when they achieve their goals and feel content with themselves it is a reflection of the teamwork that we put into together. I really enjoy the science and analysis behind evaluating a client and I find personal programs very interesting and fun to develop based on individual differences. I love helping individuals achieve a high level of self efficacy based on health and wellness.

What can clients look forward to with you?
Clients can look forward to a very personable trainer that pays attention to individual needs even while working with a group or family. They can also look forward to reaching their goals in a timely manner while enjoying the process along the way.
